Toronto
I’m home for Christmas! Just got here today. I completely forgot to journal the journey. It was a travel day, flying London to Toronto from London Heathrow Airport. I only woke up at 9am since I slept so late last night (gosh, what a hectic day yesterday was! I went to M&S to exchange my loafers for half a size smaller, then to my doctor appointment, then pharmacy, then central London, then university for classes, then library, then home to pack for this trip!)
Breakfast was at Wondertree, a full English, as is tradition whenever I travel from the Queen’s Terminal. Then I went to Duty Free to get a huge bottle of Patrón for my step-dad. That’s his Christmas gift sorted! After purchasing, I realised they were already boarding for my flight so I had to race over there. It even said ‘Flight Closing’ at one point making me panic, but when I got there, the line was still long, so it was fine in the end.
Thankfully, I had an aisle seat. You know, as soon as I was old enough to travel alone I completely got over window seats. They only seem fun when you’re a kid, or maybe that’s just me. I like to have my escape routes available at all times, lol. I was just chilling, playing sudoku, occasionally walking to the the bathroom for an excuse to stretch my legs. I also listened to music and watched some TV (half of Dune and 3 episodes of Loki) to pass the 8 hours. Can’t sleep on planes.
Sister and step-dad picked me up so that was great. They surprised me by bringing Biscuit! He was all too happy to see me, his favourite sister, obvi (I’m convinced our dog sees us as his pack, with mum being his mum and step-dad being the alpha, and me and my sister being his pack mates, thats how he treats us anyway). Mum has fully decorated already for Christmas so it was nice to come home to a festive atmosphere. I will add pictures to make up for this succinct account!
