Book Club Meetings, Anxiety, and Skipping Class

You could say I had some anxiety on this day. To say the least. I couldn’t frickin sleep till 4am the night before. Despite being in bed well before then. Ugh! We could blame it on the IG doomscroll but I can’t lie to myself. The scrolling was because I couldn’t fall asleep. Too much anxiety. Why? All for a silly little book club meeting in the morning. Ha. I’m ridiculous.

Couscous Success, Pride and Prejudice, and Cleaning the Garden

Well, hello there. I am alive and well on this fine Tuesday. So, we all know how I woke up at 1pm yesterday because of reasons. And I did have this well-meaning desire to be up at 7 today, which alas, did not happen, but I did manage to shave 2 hours off the heinous wake up time to bring it down to around 11am.

It’s Monday: Ramblings of an ADHD Mind

Good morning. I mean, afternoon. It’s a strange day. I’ve both woken up extremely late but have been more productive since waking than I have been in weeks, so I’m not quite sure how to feel. The fact that my emotions are directly tied to my productiveness is quite telling though. Telling of what? I don’t know. We’ll leave that conversation to my therapist and future self.

Ponytail and red ribbon

New Year’s Dinner at The Octagon

Happy New Year! Last nights party was so great! We got home around 2am and I immediately washed off my makeup and flopped into bed. I slept in this morning – I think everyone did – and got up around 11am. Hung out with mum for a bit, got her to tie a cute red ribbon in my hair. Then I made the fam some eggs. A new twist on the eggs today; I first put some spicy Genoa salami in the pan, let it heat up so the oil seeps out. Then I cracked the eggs right on top and let it crisp up on the bottom. Sprinkled some salt, black pepper, no-salt seasoning and fresh parsley. It was such a hit!

Blank Street Coffee

Morning Side Quests, Study Missions, and Blank Street Coffee

Good morning! On this fine, cloudy day, I woke up at 6:15 to the sound of birdsong and couldn’t get back to sleep, yet the idea of getting up to study felt equally unbearable. So, I lay in bed, daydreaming for an hour until I finally willed myself up—a whole 15 minutes before my alarm.
I’ve decided that getting up at 6 a.m. to study is a noble goal, one I’d planned to start today, but it might be more of a gradual journey. Just waking up early felt like a win, and I had this optimistic energy that made me want to leave the house and try something new. That ‘something new’ was Blank Street Coffee.

Instant Coffee and Slow Mornings

Happy Tuesday all! I’m currently at one of our university buildings, checking up on the website, doing miscellaneous tasks, figuring out how to use tags and such. I’ve already watched the lecture for this week’s consumer law seminar – wasn’t much of a help, we’re basically just doing independent study this week, then presenting in front of the class. I already presented with my group last week (teacher liked our energy!) so I doubt I’ll be called on again.

Getting Soaked in the Rain and Rats the Size of Poodles

Hello diary. It’s been an interesting day. Windy. Rainy. No umbrella in sight. A SLEEVELESS jacket. Ha. Just another pleasant Tuesday. I could have sworn I checked the weather forecast. Ah well.
So I wanted to keep the fixed sleeping pattern alive by sleeping early (12-ish, excellent) and waking early (woke at 10, got up at 10:30, not a complete failure). My problem is wanting to lie in bed and ignore all my problems. There is another way to get rid of problems. Solving them!
