It’s been a hot minute. Can’t catch you up on whatever I missed because it wasn’t interesting enough for me to remember. Clearly, lol. My sister was here to visit me over the weekend. That was exciting. Her flight left at 6:20pm from London Stansted Airport today, so I put her on a coach and wished her farewell. I’m so glad she came this weekend. I don’t think she’s been to London in like, 5 years.
We started the day at Gail’s bakery. Met her friend Lara and had some coffee. I like Gails, the sandwiches and pastries are to die for (must try blueberry custard muffin Lara says) but this particular location was extra cute. After that, Lara went to work and me and sis met up with dad. We had lunch at Nando’s.
I always forget how good Nando’s is. Mm, grilled peri-peri chicken. We got a platter to share and also the chicken liver (trust me, so good, get medium spicy). After that, dad went off to work and I took sis back to mine so she could grab her stuff. We also stopped at Sainsbury’s so she could pick up some snacks.
Got some eggs and fish for myself since I was there. They didn’t have organic so I picked up the ‘Happy Egg’ one. Meh. Then I took her to the coach station and went to Nero cafe because I had my laptop.
Since I’m limiting myself to one coffee a day, I tried the luxury white hot chocolate, which cost a whopping £4.40, but was really quite nice to be honest. Tasted excellent. Got some work done. Came home. Sorted laundry. Washed my hair. Blow dried it. Did this insane Korean bubbling purple foam face mask. And now I’m just ready to chill and be in bed by 10:30pm. I’ve got a Media Law seminar tomorrow and a couple classes on Wednesday.
Oh! Sis left me a cute thank you card for hosting her this weekend. I’ll keep it forever! I love sentimental cards. Ok, signing out.
